Allowed Status Transitions for Rule Management

Rules on RuleTogether progress through a defined set of statuses: Draft, Published, Setinstone, and Archived. Each status serves a distinct purpose, and transitions between them are strictly controlled to ensure rules are managed appropriately. The allowed transitions are designed to support collaborative rule-making while preventing unauthorized or inconsistent changes.

2. Status Definitions and Allowed Transitions

The table below summarizes each status and the permitted transitions, along with their implications for rule management.

Rule Status Transitions

Each status defines a stage in a rule’s lifecycle, with specific transitions allowed to maintain clarity and control. Transitions are initiated by citizens with sufficient privileges (see Reputation and Privileges System) or by moderators in certain cases.
