Our shared standards

RuleTogether is an open platform for constructive dialogue and community engagement. We welcome diverse viewpoints when they are shared with respect for other people, their safety, and their rights.

How to participate constructively

• Share a clear story. Explain the issue, its impact, and the solution or outcome you would like to see.
• Engage in good faith. Address the people or organizations able to help, listen to other perspectives, and focus on solutions.
• Build community. Keep supporters informed about progress, challenges, and useful ways to participate.
• Use care with sensitive subjects. When discussing trauma, abuse, self-harm, or similar topics, use content warnings and communicate with empathy.

Safety, privacy, and respect

Do not post content that threatens, harasses, bullies, exploits, or discriminates against people or groups. Do not share personal contact details, home addresses, identification documents, or other private information without permission. Content that harms or exploits minors is strictly prohibited.

Integrity and lawful use

Do not use RuleTogether to promote illegal activity, violence, terrorism, self-harm, fraud, impersonation, spam, malware, or copyright and trademark infringement. Keep factual claims accurate and avoid content intended to deceive, defame, or manipulate others.

Moderation and reporting

RuleTogether does not pre-moderate every contribution. Automated tools and human reviewers may review reported or flagged content. Actions can include content removal, restrictions, or temporary or permanent account suspension.
